Loch Tayside Race Weekend 2013 - A follow up report
For the first time yet, sunshine for the whole weekend! We can confirm that the grand
total raised for Cancer Research UK, Killin MRT and NTS Footpath Fund for 2013 was £1000!
So thank you to all those who took part in the race and
and helped reach this grand total.

Saturday 11th October - Meall nan Tarmachan - SHR Championship Race (Short)

In 2014 the annual Lochtayside hill race weekend will be even bigger! The Meall Nan Tarmachan Hill race has been confirmed as
one of the SHR Championship races of 2014. For this reason, we recommend pre-entering via Si Entries as we may have to put a cap on numbers if there is alot of interest.
Meall nan Tarmachan Hill Race - Saturday 11th October 2014
Registration for Saturdays race will take place at the McLaren Hall in Killin, between 10.00am and 12.15pm.
On Saturday please allow 15 minutes to drive from Killin to the Ben Lawers car park (race venue) and 10 minutes
to walk from the Car Park to the race start. For more information regarding the location and the Ben Lawers

Registration at the McLaren hall, Killin 10.00 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. The race start is a 10 minute walk from the Ben Lawers Car Park so allow at least 30 minutes to get to the start from registration.
In accordance with Scottish Hill Runners rules competitors must carry the following:
- Windproof whole body cover.
- Other body cover appropriate for the weather conditions.
- A compass suitable for navigating the course using the free map provided at registration (and the ability to use them). The maps are sponsored by the NTS Footpath Fund.

The 2nd race of the LochTayside weekend is the same route as the Killin Highland games race route.
Registration at the Maclaren hall, Killin 9.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. The race starts in the park behind the Maclaren hall.

as for Meall nan Tarmachan.
Other Local Races
If your also into your road running there is the Killin 10k run usually on the last Saturday of August (Probably, 23rd August 2014). This is a sponsored run open to all levels, with a childrens 1K race too. A great route with an underlating terrain and tranquil views.
Highland Perthshire Marathon
This stunning location for a marathon starts at Aberfeldy on the 6th September 2014 with numerous National and Local Charities
benefiting from the proceeds.
